following on from all time fave (and I guess something like this has been done before - but what the hell it's between seasons what else we gonna do?)
Hermman H. I saw him recently in Ipswich and he took the time to have a chat and spoke very fondly of his days with the Bees, finished by shaking hands with me and saying "nice to meet you", made my week!
Stan Bowles- always unassuming never plays the star- even though he is. It's a bit disconcerting 'cos he's just like talking to some bloke you know from the Pub!
Not a player but Phil Holder was always approachable and came across like one of the lads

Have to agree with that.I also had the pleasure of meeting Frank Mclintock not long after we had lost to Wigan at Wembley, and he was fine.As for players,I met Carl Hutchings a couple of times and he was more than happy to stand and chat, and last year I took my daughter to the training ground hoping to get a few autographs and I have to say that Paul Smith was the most pleasant footballer that I have ever met.

What's Jamie Bates up to now?
I'm actually surprised more was not made of the Bates expose (should be an accent there can't be bothered to find it), obviously I'm a touch wet behind the ears, but I would have thought that was rather strange behaviour for a captain of a professional football team.

the man responsible for one of my happiest moments supporting the Bees when he scored at Craven Cottage - Nigel Gleghorn, such a nice bloke
Very close between him, Paul Watson and Sir Evo though
Warren Aspinall was always a laugh but I'm surprised no-one's mentioned a certain Mr Gibbs yet

Yeah, very good choice...after Lee Harvey's testimonial, I went on the pitch and asked for his shirt...he said "we're not allowed mate...but leave your details in the office, i'll send you one" and 2 days later it arrived, signed "to Rick, best wishes, Bob Booker"
Put a smile on my face :)

for me it has to Paul Evans.....
not just when as a bees player but even now he has time for true football fans,
I spoke to him when he was on loan at Blackpool about a friend of mine who is a pool nut...
So when we played them up there i drove up and Paul had left two tickets on the door for us. Had a drink with us afterwards and offered to lay on tickets for pool games home and away for my mate for the rest of his loan spell..which he did ...
well until he got crocked!!!
my mate still wants you back guv...
