Bit of a tricky one. Last train from Birmingham New Street is 23:05, which must be cutting it fine if the game goes to extra-time/penalties.

Might be best to drive.

Train there and coach back then is mostly likely for the now rather sparse BsC  :bound:

What's the nearest station?

Getting to Birmingham shouldn't be a problem, it'll only take about an hour, but where do we go from there?

The nearest station is called "The Hawthorns." I haven't looked at a map, but with a name like that, it can't be far away. But I'm not sure if the line it's on goes into New Street.

I'm pondering car hire. Anyone interested in forming a North London contingent, to share costs on this idea?

Possibly, I'm working in Central London that week so might be able to do that, it depends what time you're going though.

Direct trains from Marylebone take just over 2 hours but there aren't any return trains. Might be train up and car back I think.

For those working in town you can get a train at 5.00, which arrives at 7.15, provided it is on time that should be ok.

I'll be leaving early to avoid the traffic. 3pm?

From New Street you can get a train to Smethwick Rolf Street (???) which is about a mile from ground or walk accross Bullring to Moor St Station which goes directly to Hawthorns about 200 yds from ground.

Sounds like a lot of pi$$ing around especially for a night game so it looks like it's going to be the Nan's Coach for me. GREAT!:( :nono:
