Well Nocoat I was lucky, a lot of the prople I work with were really generous. ie Swindon & Bristol fans. They made up most of my sponsership money, but I feel that it's to soon after the last walk to ask again. Hence the apeal to my fellow grapeviners.

Thanks for your support Mr Bence (My feet have only just recovered fully from last years effort)......but perhaps your efforts should be fully focused on getting Leicester Bee out of that van and on the road with the rest of us.
I would echo your sentiments re: what an experience it was.
Like you I didnt know anyone else on the Walk but by the end of it had met many like-minded souls including a few of the GPG and the feeling of having done something tangible for the Club was fantastic.
If you are waivering about doing it I would urge you to join in.....it was a great day (although the game was shite).

Really on a tues, that not good for me, I was thinking about doing it you see. What time would we be setting off? I may do it if the time is okay.

Sadly I'm not doing the W2W this year, I still ain't recovered from the last one yet! Maybe next year! But I will be sponsoring all you guys that do it. And if your in two minds about whether to do it or not, go for it, it's worth it just knowing that I was helping the club. And you get so much encouragement and free food/drink on the way round.

Thank you P J & Ayes B for your support, for me it's really one of the few ways that I can help the cause. lets really make this walk the biggest one so far, it will be even better if the lads win the match. The game hurt me more than the walk.

I managed the walk last year and raised £500. The problem i've got now, is that it will be hard for me to raise that amount again , living in Wilts & only doing the walk roughly six months ago.

I'll be lucky to raise anywhere near the amount I got last March :( I'll also be competing with Children In Need (November 21), so my BBC colleagues will I suspect be less generous. That's why I'm willing to do the return walk in-order to get maximum sponsorship from them. But I won't let up on my efforts.

A bit more effort is required on my part so I'm going to write to all the Premiership club's programme editors in an effort to get some programme space to appeal for sponsorship. I'll also write to all the bookmakers...SportingIndex very kindly obliged last year by giving us a free bet which won us over £800  I'll also write to Travelodge to see if I can get some free accommodation when I arrive back in Brentford in the wee early hours of Sunday morning!

Keep positive everyone! I guess the more new walkers we can get then we can tap into fresh sponsorship!
