Count me in....though I'm not quite as fit as last year so probably won't be up with the pace :(

Come on everyone...join in, it's great fun! I met some great people in March and to be honest it totally changed my outlook on life  I'm thinking about walking back as well...starting at 3.00pm....as I can't face a repeat of that gutless performance showed in the 4-0 loss that day....Wally should have made the players walk back

How fast is the pace? I might consider taking part this time.

Is the Bike 2 Brighton going to happen still, or did I just invent that?

I'd be interested in taking part, not too sure if I'd be available but definitely maybe.

I've got a bit of experience with sponsored walks, albeit about 5 years ago when I was 15!

What's the walk like? Is it mostly fields and paths, or roads etc?

By the way, Silly Chip, if you're serious about walking back, although I'm not sure whether it was merely a light hearted comment, I'd be interested in walking back as well if I can make it.

Walking back!!!
Are you mad....last year it was all I could do to walk to the coach after the game.
The walk is mainly pathway alongside the main road into Wycombe....apart from the bit where you have to walk along the grass verge alongside the main road into Beaconsfield and dodging traffic across a major roundabout.
It was a fantastic experience and worth doing.....the hardest part was having to sit through the 4-0 drubbing.
Not sure about this year though.....may opt for a sponsored bike ride to Bournemouth instead.

I'm very serious about walking back....and if I have the company we'll do it no probs!

But I wouldn't want to deflect from the efforts of the splendid walkers doing the single journey. So yes I'm up for it so long as we pull in more dosh!

My sentiments exactly.

Best of luck if you try it but one way was hard enough.

Will the sponsorship forms be available at tonight's game from the usual places?

I managed the walk last year and raised £500. The problem i've got now, is that it will be hard for me to raise that amount again , living in Wilts & only doing the walk roughly six months ago.
I will be willing to walk, If fellow Bees fans and grapeviners would like to sponser me, with fans, and family I would be hoping to raise the same amount.
I'm up for it if you are, it 's a great opportunity to raise much needed funds.

I raised just over £600.00 but I'm sure that total was achieved only by telling my colleagues that for every £1 they gave I'd match personally and give to MS.

That's why I'm strongly thinking of walking back from Wycombe as well. SportingIndex very kindly gave us a free bet last time round, I think I might spend some time writing to all the shops in the High Street and major businesses along the Great West Road and in Hounslow. These company's might not wish to sponsor Brentford on a matchday but surely they'd donate to a sponsored walk which is basically trying to help save the borough's only professional football club?

Up the Bees!

The walk to Wycombe was a bit of a renaissance for me last year- as a result of the walk and the people I met I became more involved in helping to save the club I love, rather than just being an inactive 'face' on the terraces.

Therefore I suggest anybody who is half-thinking of doing the walk to take the plunge. I didn't know a soul when I turned up last year, but it didn't matter, as it was a great day out.

My son intends to do the walk this year, and he's only thirteen, so I suggest their is no excuse for anyone not to do it this year. Waterlooville, that means you!!!!!!!

I would/will do it  AND im not even drunk lol the problem is I don't like asking for things AT ALL :nono: I even turned down a sales position at my workplace for more wedge because of that reason. I couldn't imagine asking my work colleagues for any cash, and my mates would tell me to bugger off anyway, and I can't even rely on the folks cos they have disowned me (sort of ;) )
So like mentioned by another chappy above, if I could get enough through the grapevine I would be more than happy to do my bit for Bees United.
Five and Six hundred pounds seems an awful lot for just one person to raise... what sort of monies were donated?? 50p a mile or just a lump sum? And last time was there many pledges from the institution that we like to call the GPG? And what is it worth raising, and don't anyone say even 20quid helps, cos lets face it if thats all i was pledged i would just give it to PJ out of my own wallet at the start line and get the train up lol
