Must be worth 4 or 5 million now-

Apparently Marcus Bent is on considerably more wages than our entire first team squad put together.

He bought a Porsche Boxter with a signing on Fee once.
I think it was for Sheff UTD.

I am amazed Bent wanted to play for MickY Adams .
They didnt get on at all at Brentford did they ?
Micky said he was a too big for his boots and he would find it tough elsewhwere

Two factors, I guess:

1 That was about 7 years ago, when Marcus was a teenager, so he may have changed since
2 I think most players would rather be in the premiership than in Div 1; even if Leicester are struggling, Ipswich aren't setting Div 1 alight either

Always got he impression he became demoralised and his Brentford career was eventually spoilt by the GP whingers. Not the first either.

Its been going on for years and is mentioned in Jimmy Hill's autobiography when he talks about his time with us around 50 years ago.

Do you think he'd like to invest some of it in a football club?

Seem to remember David Webb pushing him on the touchline when he was 17 and shouting at him. Doubt that did much for his confidence either...

And he likes Anfield... Didn't he score there for Palace too?

What I can't work out is that if he is so good why does every club (and he's had a few now) let him go so easily.

He seemed to have an attitude problem when with us, wonder if its still there.

He has been at a few clubs. Perhaps he pxssxs every club off, and then they are happy to get a fee for him.
