We've had most despised opposing player, so how about worst Brentford player...? And I don't mean despised, I just mean rubbish!

My votes go to Mickey Bennett, Murray Jones, Joe Omigie, Leo Fortune West (and have you seen how many goals he's scored since he left us??), Joe Allon (Stan Collymore 125k, Smokin Joe Overbite 275k??), Tony Finnegan, Ijah when he was a left winger and David Greene... I could go on.

I left out any current Bees cos I thought it could get a bit nasty. :nono: Also, can anyone tell me what became of Denny "TT" Mundee?

McCammon and Allon sounds like a comedy double act :D , but i liked them both and they would not be on my list:nono:

Just thought of a few more:

David Court
David Jenkins
Lee Frost
Gary Johnson

Didn't Keith Millen recommend Murray Jones to Phil Holder as he was a mate of his?

No one has mentioned the Booker!

At last!! I thought I was the only one who remembered just how bad he was.

He didnt look like footballer
He didnt play like a footballer
How on earth he ever became a pro I never could fathom

Also with Any Woon must have been the ugliest strike pairing ever. Every night was halloween with them 2 playing.

Anyone remember Mickey French? Seem to remember his ability at missing barn doors from 6 feet?

We had a job lot of them that Webb landed Eddie May with for his short spell in charge: Wormull, Barrowcliff and Spencer as a midfield trio who did nothing for us and little elsewhere - I think Wormull went on to be OK at Conference level but the other 2 understandably seemed to go off the radar. Also around that time a couple of strikers we got from non-league for about £50k each: think one was called Reina or Reyna and was found to have a chronic injury problem, and can remember nothing of the other bloke except that he was useless in his few starts

In terms of value for money Alan Whitehead was not exactly a bargain!

Steven Blaney?

When you pull out names like this that all played together, it's laughable to think that some people are calling our current squad the worst ever

Brentford: Dearden ,Hurdle ,Anderson ,Hutchings ,Bates ,McGhee ,Spencer ( Denys ,46 ) ,Wormull ,Marcus Bent ,Barrowcliff ,Taylor
Subs not used Canham, Benstead

This team against Millwall on the fisrt day of 97/98 must go down as one of the weakest ever fielded by Brentford.

How about the following:

Colin Scott - Goalkeeper loaned from Glasgow Rangers who made Ashley Bayes look like a premiership keeper!

Paul Miller - Came at end of career and just stood in central defence kicking the ball as far as he could whichever way he was facing.

Mark McCammon - Will never forgive him for either the misses at the end of LDV Final against Port Vale or more importantly that header at Loftus Road with about 5 minutes left!

I didn't mind COlin Scott: not bad at stopping shots - also, wasn't he pretty young - 20 or so?

But he was still rubbish IMO!! And more importantly we were in desperate need of a player to keep us up, and instead we got Joe... I'll never forget him being brought on as sub in one game, scoring with one of the worst shots I've ever seen and then being subbed off again ten minutes later absolutely knackered.

Although having said that, I'll forgive a lot for that goal against Derby when we beat them 2-1 at home. :D Especially pleasing after their fans had started singing "we will rock you" back at us when they scored.
