Me and my mate help collecting money outside Brook Road today.
I just thought I would say I will be happy to do it every week, anything to save this club.
WE ARE BEES.

Thanks to everyone who helps with the bucket collections.
I think we raised around £400 from the game against Gainsborough, given that this was for a smaller crowd than normal, it is an impressive figure. I am sure it boils down to the fact that we had more bucket collectors.

Cool! £400 from a crowd of just over 3K is pretty good. John Mac said in TITS yesterday that BU's cash was assisting greatly in keeping the club afloat so every penny collected makes a difference.
I seem to recall someone writing recently that BU were thinking of calling time on bucket collections, fearing that supporters were becoming 'weary of emotional blackmail'. Did anyone else read this - in Beesotted I think - and could they clarify it?

There was something of a debate on this issue during the Summer.
On the one hand it was felt that some supporters were getting a bit tired of the buckets; that it could be sending out the wrong message and that perhaps we need to get away from this "jumble sale mentality".
The opposite view, however, was that the bucket collectors were going to carry on regardless; that the Supporters' Trust need every penny they can get and that with a guaranteed £400 to £500 every home game, it's not to be sniffed at.
Personally I think the buckets are a nice symbol of how our Club has been left by the previous ownership.
The bottom line, however, is that the Bucket Collections are an easy and convenient means for supporters to contribute to the Supporters' Trust, if they do not wish, or feel able, to make a Standing Order.
