I believe these watering holes are owned by the same man, who coincidently has the same name as what you do after being in one of his establishments for too long, Ralph.
What would happen to his trade in the demise of BFC ?The two pubs would not survive.I think he should give us 50 % of the profit on match days, or virtually give us one of the pubs. Also as I mentioned many moons ago ,the New Inn has an upper function room which is unused on match days. With a lick of paint and decent carpet it could provide a room for corporate hospitallity.Look at the site below, at " the pub " .This is in Wokingham ,my nearest town .

I don't think he runs the The Princess Royal any more.

Why has this been moved?
What is going on?
This is about the pubs helping BFC.

How on earth can this thread be regarded as Bees United or BIAS related.
Who is doing this bizarre moderating...................??
If the first box is for "anything that involves money changing hands and going to Brentford ultimately" rather than BU or BIAS perhaps it should say so???

JT - This thread has absolutely nothing to do with BU or BIAS events. Believe me I would know.
This is about BFC and should be in GBD.

I put it in here as it's to do with fundraising ideas. If you've a problem with that then please open a thread in Site Feedback or PM me.

Banana - How the hell is this fundraising for BU? Does Bigbee mention BU?
This is a revenue idea for BFC, it is not an organised event by BU or BIAS.
Please look at the Forum Title.
Give me strength.

It's so confusing isn't it. BU? BIAS? BFC? aren't they all the same thing?

Youe are totally out of order. Ralph gives massive support to BFC already.
If you recall, 6-7 years ago that pub was a dump. Since he's taken it over he's built a very loyal clientele. Sure if BFC went he may well suffer, but you go in there most nigts of the week and its very very busy with regulars that he has attracted through bloody hard work.
I'm sure McDonalds does well on match days, why not ask for half their profits instead of a landlord of a pub that is crucial to the area.

First time I read this I thought it was a joke...
... then I saw the thinking behind it, and now just think it's a potty idea.
As Jambo says, you may as well get McDs to fork out as well, or beg monies off London Underground for all the extra people travelling to South Ealing or Gunnersbury on matchdays.

the 50 % was tongue in cheek.I was trying to open up a forum for suggestions.Jambo ,ok this is a potty idea, got any suggestions of your own or just want to slag off others ? By the way ,havent we got a MacDonalds family stand? How very nice to let the big clown man advertise in our ground with out getting any money,or dyou think they may pay? Tough one.Ralph has told me what its like running the pubs out side footie days.I'll have a word with London Underground and the Buses.

yes , I recall the place being a dump,I used to watch strippers in there when I was 16 ,some 27 years ago ! I think Ralph is a very nice man for buying a pub when it was cheap and run down, spotting the potential to see a significant improvement in turn over and value of the establishment after the works were done.So we are in agreement .Im off to potty land ,bye !

I was hardly slagging off you idea, just standing up for a local businessman whom I think is a good man.
Out of interest how much is the McD's involment in the family stand in terms of cash ? I doubt its 50% of their profit, if so they need a decent media agency 'cos they're being mugged off.
Totally agree with your idea though Bigbee in terms of getting £££ off business that benefit directly from BFC
