Thanks to everyone involved in today's Walk to Wycombe Part III.
Marshalls, fellow walkers, organisers, sponsorers, every single person who worked so hard and contributed to make this possible.
It was a superb day today, capped magnificently by the very apt timing of Mr Tabb. I was leaping around like a five year old high on sugar and e-numbers when that went in! For a few moments (unfortunately only a few) all the pain disappered!:D
Today was my first W2W but certainly not my last, and I can highly recommend it to any of you out there who have not experienced the feeling of satisfaction, togetherness and achievement you get when you finally finish the walk.
So, well done, thanks to you all, and see you at GP on Saturday!

Bristol Bee finished at 11.50am in about 6 hours 50 mins I believe, the final group came in at around 2pm, a very respectable time of 9 hours.
Everyone made it round without lifts from the marshalls with was an extra achievement.

Well done all the walkers and everyone associated with the event. I'm sure that all Brentford fans are proud of yur achievements.
I said about the last walk, that Pinch and his mate walked to Wycombe for £20 sponsorship. I was really pleased that this prompted some people to send in money as extra sponsorship for Pinch and his mate, which made their walk even more worthwhile than it already was.
This time round, it happened again. I believe them to be Rock on U Bees, Feltham Bee, Claire and Annette (sorry don't know their GPG usernames), who walked to Wycombe for a considerably low sponsorship figure. Feltham Bee, for example, only raised £30, which he believed would be enough to make him walk to Wycombe, and thereby help save our great club. These 4, aged only 16-18, went through alot during the walk (they're only young, ah bless!) and came through it for the love of Brentford. I have to admit that I haven't got the guts to walk to Wycombe myself, but it such people who make me proud to be a Bee.
If it is possible, please send a PM to one of these 4 young 'uns, and arrange a little extra sponsorship money for them, or drop a little extra into a bucket at the next home game for them. I'm sure that they would be over the moon if some more sponsorship came in for them, and it would have made it even more worthwhile than it already was for them. Feltham, Rock On U Bees, Claire or Annette, PM me your address, and I'll send in a cheque for some sponsorship.
Even though every walker has their place in Brentford history, I just wanted to mention PJ for completing his 3rd Walk to Wycombe. Although he claims it gets harder each time, he sprinted across the line at the end to bring up the rear!!! Well done to PJ, a Brentford fan who'd run through a brick wall for the club. In addition, I wanted to mention Alfie, who completed his 2nd Walk to Wycombe and also walked from Brighton to Griffin Park back in the 60's, which might also indicate his advancing years! Finally, to 13 year old Jake Gowers who completed the walk with his Dad, Rod. Rod, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for making him go through such agony!!! :nono: :D ;)
Well done to the Walkers!
