Is there something that this board can collectively do to raise money for Bees United?
Something, perhaps, that involves Beesotted.com vs the GPG in some form of competition? I'm trying to think of ideas to promote a good-hearted rivalry between the boards, but something that will raise money for the club.
Anyway, how's about this idea?
Let's run a competition on both boards, where you will need to pay an entry fee, and the prize is being selected for (if the club allow it) a penalty competition in front of the Brook Road during a half-time? GPG vs Beesotted, 5 against 5, is there any distance in this?

I think it's an excellent idea - a penalty shoot out that is. I reckon as many as possible vs as many as possible.

OK, how's this sound to you guys:
Forget the Beesotted vs GPG, let's have this idea:
At one home game per month, we could sell raffle tickets at the ground, and sell raffle tickets over the internet (not sure how to yet though).
The idea is that we sell these tickets over a period of a week, before the lucky winners get drawn out of a hat, and go into two teams of 5, to take penalties at one home game per month, in front of the Brook Road.
We can use a reserve or youth keeper, I'm sure, or even raffle up a keeper's position for each team.
At half-time, obviously the competition takes place, and either we could organise a small gift voucher at the club shop, or it won't really matter as being out on the pitch is prize enough.
How does that sound?
If we did want a Beesotted vs GPG event, I'm sure we could all be creative, and work something out. A little unfair as only 30 people actually post on Beesotted with any regularity, whereas something like 500+ post regularly on the GPG!!!
Still, I'm sure we can think of something for the future.
Any thoughts about the penalty shootout competition though?
For example, sell raffle tickets at the Port Vale game, have the shootout for the QPR game. Don't forget to kiss your badges in the direction of the Rangers fans!!!
Again, sell tickets at the Notts Co game, but have the shootout for the Stockport game, sell for the Chesterfield and shootout at the Colchester game, Wycombe and then Bournemouth.
Does everyone think that this could work? Have I missed something?
We could charge £1 per raffle ticket, or £5 for 6, for example. if we could continue this throughout a whole season, it might raise something in the region of £5000 over the season, which is £5000 we never had, and at least fans are getting something for their money.
Anyway, enough rambling. Your thoughts please...
