What we saw at Wycombe, having 20 kids, 10 running at each end with 10 secs to score a goal. Obviously charging for the chance to score, meaning Mums and Dads come to watch and kids are encouraged to support.
Maybe not flawless but you never know!

A good idea, I'm sure we used to do something very similar up until recent seasons. Not sure why it was stopped though.
You could charge say £10 per child which would include a free ticket for the game (only £3 so not much loss). The adults have to pay normal ticket prices to come and watch, which no doubt they would to come and see their 'baby' score a goal on the hallowed turf.
With no expenditure from it that I can see,
20x£10 for the kids
Each children brings 2 adults -> 40x£16
Total = £840 per game which would be about £20k extra a year.
Everyone's happy!

Perhaps the marketing dept could send flyers to local boys football clubs with a tenner a kid idea. Would probably fill the 20 spaces with one hit, ie the chance to run on a real pitch.
As I say may convert some of the unholy into followers!

not being negative but I can only see this creating lots more freebie tickets

I thought the old penalty shootout generated funds. £1 a ticket and then the number is drawn at random....

But it's only £60 of freebie tickets per match, for children who wouldn't neccessarily be coming to watch Brentford anyway.
If they're bringing paying parents to watch then that can only be good for attendance figures, and if they enjoy what they see and experience they will come back again, this time paying for their children.
Kids get to take penalties in front of thousands of people.
Parents get to see their kids on a professional pitch.
The crowd get half time entertainment.
The club gets higher attendances and more money.
Everyone's a winner.

sorry to confuse matters but can't see many kids parents paying out of choice...

Disagree - I think many a mummy and daddy would stump up for (say) junior's birthday or the like.
Don't think you'd get enough interest to have 20 kids per game, though - either have less kids and more attempts, or don't do it every game?
Or what about  letting the grown-ups have a go? Call it a tenner extra or something, and let them have as many goes as the time and amount of other participants allows. You could even charge also for letting someone be goalie... and perhaps you could do something like the person who scores the most goals wins something like the match ball (discussed elsewhere)?

Got 4/5 up the Ealing Rd end, and won match tickets, a signed football, and the picture of GP by Pascal Farrell  against Leicester City in the first division :)

No my idea was to contact footie clubs 1st, get the whole boys squad. Ask for tenner a ticket and the manager gets in free to supervise, what parent wouldn't pay for their son/daughter and not want to be there to watch it?
Perhaps it is too obvious, but at wycombe it was a run from the half way line (one at each end), with 10 secs to score with someone keeping count of the goals at each end, mini comp for the kids.
