Sweepy

During a lacklusture first half against Grimsby, my mind wandered towards the distance and I noticed the decaying paint upon the New Road roof surface. I thought for a moment before resuming my attentions to the match. I quickly realised this is one way EVERY bees supporter can seriously get involved in raising crucial funds for the club.
It has been well documented in the local press, the fanzines, the official website and even on a live auction website that this amazing piece of advertising space is available for the right price. I believe we, the supporters, can help market the product, spending an absolute minimum.
It is all about communication. We have an overworked board of directors at the club, who would ideally dedicate their resources on publicising the space. Sadly, there is one crucial resource they lack, more so than money, is time.
Everyone is so busy cleaning up the mess of the past decade, never mind the last four years, that there simply aren't enough man hours in the day to give every detail the attention required.
So how can we help sell the space?
In my opinion, the easiest way for the supporters to help is by direct mailing. It works. If the right leaflet ends up on the right desk of the right executive and they are interested, they WILL call or fax the club for further information. I know this from sales experience.
There are no excuses for anyone not to get involved. We have supporters who are capable of designing the flyer/faxshot/e-mail that can be mass-circulated. We have supporters who have many hours to spare for online talk (this I realise from my brief visits to this site). So let's do it. No excuses.
Find out names of buyers, who would be appealled to having their company crest on the Heathrow flightpath. Target all airlines, hoteliers and transportation companies that could benefit. Picture this - "Book our hotel on landing - 8572 XXXX" - can you see how that advertisement could appeal to an airline passenger as their aeroplane comes in to land?
For any piece of marketing, there is certainly no shortage of information relating to the advertising space. There are plenty of images of Griffin Park from an aerial view available for use (taken from aircraft?).
We should to get started on this quickly. I for one have no particular talent, which I admit freely, but I can help and I hope others would. If you can draw, write, put leaflets in envelopes, send e-mails/faxes or mail post through letter boxes, then you can help too.
Anyone up for this?
