Is it me or do Brentford attract really bad forwards? Not that I'm indicating anything about the current crop, but when you think about Pinamonte, Fortune-West, Drewe Broughton, Steve Jones, Julian Charles, Dean A. Williams, Matthew Metcalf, Ian Benjamin and of course Murray Jones,
is it just me?

We've had some terrible forwards. But we've also had our fair share of good ones: Cross, O'Mara, Joseph, Mahoney, Phillips, McCullough, Holdsworth, Blissett, Owusu...

I guess you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find the princes.

I also thought Alexander wasn't too bad, Charles never got a real run in the side so I don't know about him, and Pinamonte was skilful, but no use to us the way we played.

Was Joe Omigie a striker or Attacking Midfielder.
I remeber Del Bryan not being too hot either, untill he went on a decent run of form and then broke his leg scoring against Oxford in the LDV.

"Was Joe Omigie a striker or Attacking Midfielder."

Allegedly a forward, I think.

"I remeber Del Bryan not being too hot either, untill he went on a decent run of form and then broke his leg scoring against Oxford in the LDV."

One thing I did like about Del was his crossing. At a time when we had problems in that area, he often came on as a sub and started to create a few chances.

Completely agree.

We only know about our own forwards. I'm sure other clubs have their share of rubbish ones.

Scott Partridge huffed and puffed, but never convinced me with his ability above div 3. Give me Sooper Mark McCammon anyday ahead of him.
