2nd January 2004, 12:27
We hope that you all had a terrific time during the festive season.
Beesotted FC, now having won our last 4 games convincingly, have a rigorous schedule ahead of us, combining both league fixtures with important friendlies too:
League 04/01/2004 - vs Zion Rangers (Home)
Friendly 10/01/2004 - vs Jeka Breda (Home)
League 18/01/2004 - vs South West London (Home)
League 25/01/2004 - vs Turk's Head (Away)
Friendly 01/02/2004 - vs Dulwich Hamlets (Away)
We will be looking to pick up 9 points from 9, but face runaway leaders of our division, South West London, which will be our toughtest test of the season.
In addition, we will be facing Jeka Breda FC, who hail from Holland, and have (during the 80's and early 90's) sent many of their fans to Griffin Park to watch Brentford play. We hope to resurrect this tradition although actually playing a team that is the equivalent of a Ryman Division in Holland, will be somewhat tough for us come the morning of 10th January. Regardless, we hope to play the game in the spirit that such games deserve, and we will be hosting the Breda lads at Griffin Park.
Keep following our fortunes by checking our website, and see how us Brentford fans represent Brentford and Brentford supporters in the local Sunday League.
Well, at least we are scoring plenty of goals!
We would welcome anybody who would like to see how we get on, to watch us at any of our games. Please see our website to find out where and when we play. Our home games kick-off at 11am and we play at Gunnersbury Park.
Happy New Year from all at Beesotted FC.
