We are now looking to recruit a Production Assistant to join our busy team producing the September 2004 edition. This is a short-term position based in our Camden Town office, commencing mid-April, for a period of four months. A highly competitive salary is available for the right person.
This demanding role will include co-ordinating advertising & editorial copy for the directory, some editing of articles & features, typesetting & page-layout, and preparation of PDF files. Previous publishing or production experience, preferably as the editor or production manager of a local or student newspaper or magazine, is essential for this position.
Applicants must be fully confident users of Quark XPress, Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator on Apple Mac systems. The successful candidate should also have some editing experience, a keen eye for detail and be able to work to tight deadlines.
