View Full Version : PUBS for Grimsby............

speaking with a chap who follows both Grimsby and the Bees recently (yes, a very strange combo!) and because of the very high risk of trouble at this game, the recommended pub to use would be the 'Leaking Boot' about 10 mins from the ground along the main rd towards Cleethorpes.
We are advised to avoid 'The Imperial' and 'Mitchells' completely (unless you're after a good:box:!!) and pretty much any other pub along the main rd from cleethorpes.
so not much choice there then:rolleyes:
so who's for the Leaking Boot for 11am then??!
and then Beach Party at Cleethorpes after if we guarentee another season in Div 2??
BUT if we send THEM down, probably best to:sneakoff: :sneakoff:

Are you sure you heard him right. As the natives aren't so friendly he could had referred to the Squeeky Boot, which is the social club of the local police lol

How can people who travel the length and breadth of the country week in week out, manage to go in totally the wrong direction?;)

At least they were driving - it's the people who manage to do it on a train that get me :D ;)

It's an easy mistake when you are half asleep and still hammered from the night before:blush

Maybe because in my heart of hearts I knew that I didn't want to pay a ternner for a fry up that is much nicer in your local cafe and a third of the price!!!;)

I didn't mean my local cafe, I meant local cafes in general.
Also the Little Chef needs to provide decent newspapers, instead of that rubbish they give you to read

So let me get this straight - you expect me to drive around every little town or village in between MK and Skegness rather than pull over at the Little Chef which was at the side of the road, just so that you could save a couple of quid? It would have cost that in petrol to find one probably!! And let's not forget that, as a veggie, I wouldn't really be able to eat much in a local cafe either!!
I think it's about time you learnt to drive young man if you want to play silly buggers like that! :nono:
And that's not why you couldn't find it on the map anyway, it's because you are useless!!! lol

Well obviously we had to stop off at a Little Chef on the way to Skeggy as there wasn't anything else around. All I was saying is that Little Chef is a rip off and isn't even that nice.
As for learning to drive, that will never happen - sometimes it would be handy to have a car, but the costs would far outweight the beenfits for me.

You might have been fine but my journey was nightmare...
An accident held me up on the M25 making us do a detour via the M11 towards stanstead and then a lorry had shed it load on the A14 which put us back another half an hour
