Has anyone else noted that Grimsby charge away supporters higher prices (£16) to sit in the Osmond Stand, (covered seating stand behind a goal) than they do their own supporters (£14) in the Pontoon Stand, (covered seating stand behind a goal). They also offer student discounts to their own supporters in the Pontoon but not to away student suppportes in the Osmond!

Another example of a club that “twists” the Football League” rules on ticket pricing to “exploit” away supporters?

Write to the Football League to complain.

Did you know that in 1945-46 season (and possibly during the war years), BFC used to let the Armed Forces in to GP at reduced prices if they were in uniform.

just thought I'd mention it and prompt young logan in to another happy posting  :D

What was it like watching the Bees in your itchy khaki, David?

I've already contacted Grimsby and will await their response.

Previously I've approached the Football League about similar pricing issues, notably Stoke City. However, because their Rules appear to have been drafted by the same Monkey that drew up their “watertight” agreement with ITV Digital you can drive the proverbial Panzer Battalion through them. BTW Bee H, can the Panzer drivers still get in free if they're in uniform? :)

Generally the League agree that clubs' shouldn't charge more and expect them to abide by the spirit of the Rule concerned, but effectively they can charge away supporters the same as home supporters pay in equivalent accommodation anywhere in the ground. So in Grimsby's case we pay the same as their supprters pay in the stands along the length of the pitch rather than what their supporters pay behind the opposite goal.

Alright MONKEY :monkey: :shake: ;)

Grimsby has confirmed that students will be able to obtain £10 admission in away end by purchasing their ticket from the Grimsby Town FC ticket office prior to entering the ground.

Still no joy on other admission prices as Grimsby are trying to use a membership scheme as justification for charging away supporters higher prices than home supporters!
