Street parking off the main road.
Best to be on the opposite side of the main road as the ground for a quicker get-away.
I have not previously had ay problems parking there so hope it will be okay this time, too.

What;s the quickest route by car?
M1 then M180?
A1M?
M1 to Leicster and then A46
Anybody any ideas?

just sit in the back seat and quaff numerous alcopops, then you won't care which route you are taking :bound:

The AA recommend the A1/M for the trek, although im not sure whether all the roundabouts make it longer in time terms than the M1.
I reckon leave W.London about 9ish, a stopoff in Louth along the way, as arranged by Gabs then 30 mins journey to the ground.

Could there be a bank holiday traffic problem?

Quite possibly, worth checking road reports before you set out. The best route maybe to get to M11 and A414, the time peeps are leaving you can get to M11 turning from West London on A406 in less than 1/2 hour, especially as A1 & MI are usually more congested at bank holidays.

quickest route if the roads are running ok is defo the M1 as done the A1 then A46 route the last time to Grimsby and it took forever......theres not much dual carriageway so be prepared to sit behind some old **** doing 40mph on their way to the seaside..............YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED;)

...........any more views on the best route. We dont seem to have much of a concensus. AA routemap is telling me A1/A46 but they usually get it wrong.

I am coming from Oxford so this may not be useful but from long experience I would avoid the A1 / A46 route as it is so slow.
If it is any help I use the M40 , take the A46 north at junction 15 , onto the M69 that joins up with the M1 then M18 etc. I use this route north all the time and as it is all motorway or dual carriageway it is fast(famous last words I know). When we played Wednesday I was in Sheffield in well under 2 hours.
Best of luck

picking Mr & Mrs Walshie up from J10 on the M40 and cutting across past Silverstone and sticking to the Motorways for constant cruising - hopefully !
Voice, you forgot to mention that f*cking caravan season is here again ! :mad1: :mad1:

General advice seems to M1/M180 so I will join M1 at Northampton -
4 hours from Ickenham?
