A busy couple of weeks coming up in the Stripes, a number of great gigs in aid of Bees United.
This coming Friday (7 May) there is a chance to catch out a great new West London band SPELLBOOTS (http://www.spellboots.co.uk/)

Next Monday (10 May) it is the turn of the monthly Griffin Park Jazz Club, featuring The Ken Barton Jazz Band
Admission for both just £5. Music from 8.30pm. Doors from 7.45pm[/b]

Friday 14 May Queen Rocks a sensational Queen covers band. Admission £5. Music from 8.30pm

Saturday 15 May JEFF SCOTT SOTO (http://www.jeffscottsoto.com/index.html). - He's appeared with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TALISMAN, TAKARA & the SAS BAND to name a few and this year he will be appearing in a new project with JOURNEY's guitarist Neal Schon. A_ chance to catch this highly talented singer up close and a must for all fans of rock! Tickets in advance £8.50 or £10 on the night (if still available). Music from 8.30pm

Monday 17 May THE WHOligans (http://www.thewholigans.com/index.html) – NO SUBSTITUTE for this great Who tribute band.

"Hustings" at Griffin Park.
London Assembly Hustings (http://www.beesunited.org.uk/news/2004/hustings.html)

Arrangements have been confirmed for a "Hustings" ahead of the London Assembly Elections in the area in June.

The Hustings, organised by Bees United, will be on Monday 24 May, in Stripes from 7.30pm onwards.

Each candidate will speak on their party's policies for the London Assembly Elections and they will be asked to give special focus on their policies affecting Sport, Leisure and Recreation.
The second half of the meeting will be a "Question-Time" format to all the candidates.

Thorne in the Side are organising a Euro 2004 Prediction Competiton (http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25916) with net proceeds going to Bees United.

Entrance is just £10 with half the money raised going in prizes, the other half straight to Bees United.

...not 'arf! Quuen Rocks are top draw apparently - they have appeared at the Queen Fan Club convention before,.
As for Jeff Scott Sotot - that man could sing the phone book and it would sound good :) He plays some funk, a bit of soul & plenty of rock. Some Queen covers as well possibly...
