Done the Spyware bit, but my pc is still quite slow. So had a look at my hard disk. Not too bad. 10GB Hard disk just under half full (yeah OK 10Gb !!! but its an old machine). On the disk clean up, I have 0.44G taken up by "Delete Windows uninstall information" with the following explanation.....
When you installed Windows, Setup saved information about your previous version of Windows. These files take up a large amount of disk space. If you are sure you do not want to return to your previous version of Windows, you should delete these files
As I have my Windows disk, I assume it is OK to delete these files?

Short answer yes, it's a copy of your old cab files (I think) so you could revert to your previous version of windows. As is says if you won't be doing that you can delete although it may not speed up your machine much. Is your machine slow in general or just when on the net?

Luton,

Thanks for the reply. Thought it would be OK to delete, but thought I would double check.

As for the machine, seems to be slow in general. Maybe Explorer is a little slow. Speeding things up would be a nice to have, but I know I need to get a newer machine. Something more up to date and also with the kids growing up, too long a que to get on the PC. :(
