I use the e-mail address provided by my ISP for nearly everything, however am going to be moving & changing ISPs, can anyone recommend a decent e-mail provider type thing for the meantime that will allow me to check via a website as well as downloading e-mails into Outlook etc?

Can you not change the current ISP account to a pay as you use one and then you can still use that? Most of them have the facility to check for email on a webpage now if not have a search on google as there are quite a few places that can check you emails through a webpage.

Not really - I'm probably going to have to leave the account as it is so my dad can keep it, it's a shame as my email has a webmail option but of course everytime he opens up Outlook he'd download all my e-mails. :(

Remove your log-in details from outlook. I'm sure you can set him up another account with the isp.

In my experience a lot of ISPs' webmail facilities leave a lot to be desired. After much humming and hahhing (and no doubt to Banana's disgust), I decided that Hotmail was the best solution. It doesn't tie you to an ISP and you can link it easily to Outlook or Outlook Express.

I use a hotmail account too - it's ok, but the amount of space that you are allowed is a bit pathetic.

Try yahoo, as that has all the same features as hotmail but gives you a little bit more space I think.

Can you explain how?

And does this mean Hotmail messages can be diverted to Outlook Express, thus providing some relief from the measly storage allowance they provide?

Outlook can be the front end for your hotmail - it is for me.

Just create a new account and put in "youraddress@hotmail.com" when it asks you for the account details - sorted!

The ones I have used have all been better than hotmail.
