Good news for you IE sufferers out there. Firefox (mozilla's excellent new web browser) is available for Windows - and, like all the best things in life, it's free.

Well, it seems quicker than IE and I haven't encountered any major negatives yet.

But curiously the width of these 'reply to' boxes is much smaller using Firefox. I wonder why that is?

WOW! Its very fast- so far seems the best out there from first glances!

However i ran Ad-aware straight after installing it and it found 28 items!

I ran ad-aware to see if there was a problem and it found nothing.

Are you sure? Are you dialling up or broadband?

my adaware found 85 objects. Not sure how many of those are from IE or due to the dodgy sites I visit.... :sneakoff:

Tabbed browsing, a trustable popup blocker without having to download seperate programs, decent support networks where you will find answers and solutions to your problems (don't even bother with Microsoft), themes so you can customise the browsers appearance, handy extensions like a css editor which wil allow you to edit a sites stylesheet within the browser, not being exposed to the viruses, trojans, etc that expose IE's many security flaws. I could go on but I won't. Oh and it is faster. ;)

I've been using it a while. So are you going to show us the stats on how much impact this has had on how people access the GPG?

At the start of next month

(as that's the "bucket-sizes" the stats are available in)

but some are available here: http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/vbstats.php
