2000 Guineas tip
With Dubawi far too short at 6/4, there must be some value here, Footstepsinthesand was the pricewise horse and the price has gone. Iceman will love the ground but everyone's got on too. Rob Roy is a danger, but my pick for a nice price is Diktatorial @ 20/1.

Tipster Paul Jacobs recommends a small each way on Tucker @ 50/1 (Ladbrokes)
:(
Maids Causeway :sorted:
would prefer an e/w price. 7/1 @ VC
long shots
Penkenna Princess @ 20/1 (betdiect)
Pictavia @ 33/1 (Hills)
Maids Causeway - 2nd @ 5/1f
Chester Cup - 2.30
Balyan is @ 14/1 (skybet, totesport, Stanley) - good draw and fairly well handicapped and will stay the distance.. Howard Johnson doesn't have many flat runners and this one was bought for €200,000.
e/w double for today is the Pricewise horse Larkwing @ 7/1 in the same race and in the 3.35 at Chester Quizzine @ 2/1f
reckon it is a decent double today, but the Larkwing price has gone from 11s thanks to Pricewise.
Larkwing - 4th @ 15/2
Quizzine - 1st @ 13/8f
Larkwing didn't get a good run :grey: still place payout.
2 good looking bets today, both overpriced, genghis looks a steal.
1.50 Haydock Genghis (100/30, general)
2.10 Lingfield Kong 9/2 (Hills, Lads, Betdirect)

oh... Kong won
was gonna tip Franklins Gardens yesterday as it's one of the horses in Inside Edge's 20 to follow..
of course it won at 11/2
so today's is Forgery (Newbury 3.15) now it won't win, but it's 2/1 fav

also Kharish 16/1 (sp odds)
The H
16th May 2005, 14:32
Kharish 2nd @16/1
Windsor 7.05
Spear 7/1 (totesport). ran alone on re-appearance at Kempton last time, forgive him that one and a tasty price at Windsor. faster ground should suit too

well it finished 4th :drunk:

2.10 Goodwood
Camrose
overpriced at 10/1, every chance of a place in this race, handicapper has given him a break and is back down to a competative mark.
The H

Goodwood was off, so money saved prob.
Haydock
2.55 Josh looks massive at 8/1 (sp odds, ukbetting, totalbet) betfair @ 12.0
RP Tip, doesn't want in too firm, a little rain wouldn't go amiss however he does act of G/F and has shaped well after a disappointing run at Newbury (too firm). Put out quickly by Michael Jarvis should mean a good run is expected..

Sandown - 2.15 - Ajigolo 6/1 (bluesq)
Ajigolo smashed the course record at Salisbury on his 2nd run. Mick Channon rates Ajigolo as one of his best 2yo's and the fact that he has chosen to run off top weight in a listed race rather than wait for an easier one at Beverley on Tuesday suggests that confidence is not lacking.
Leicester 2.00 - 5/1 (sp odds)
My Diss Sire ran a fine debut at Newbury earlier this month to finish 3rd in a maiden that looks likely to throw up several future winners. Sent off relatively unbacked at 20/1, Tom Queally’s mount was up with the leaders throughout and whilst eventually weakening in the last furlong he still managed to finish three lengths clear of the fourth horse.
My Diss Sire is sure to have learnt an awful lot from that race and can put his experience to good use in this contest from a nice high draw. Tamalain looks the obvious danger.

:zzzzz: and when Bagpuss awoke, all his friends awoke too.....
John Spearing doesn't have many runners at Folkestone, but when they do run it's worth taking note, especially in handicaps....
He's a bit unproven this early in the season, so i'm just going to watch Arkadia Honey in the 2.50 (forecast price 14/1). It's not well drawn but if it runs well, i'm gonna be on his next runner(s) there.

unplaced, never in it, but the places filled by high drawn horses.....
will watch the next with interest.
edit: not happy with the decision by the jocks to all go over the far side.... next race, field was split and won by low draw

Just looked up the stats on Spearing - 6/20 for a 12.08 LSP since 1999 in handicaps at Folkestone (including today) so it's worth bearing in mind for the future even though it didn't pay off today :sorted:

2 horses run today with excellent trainer record at the courses:
Richard Fahey trained Saif Sareea, will be a short price at his local track, but in Handicaps at Beverley, Fahey has a 21% strike rate, returning profits since 2000 of 109pts. Last year he had 10 winners from 40 runners giving a profit of 38pts.
At Newmarket today, John Gosden races Invention for the 1st time. He has the knack of getting 1st time wins from his horses and Invention's pedigree suggests he will be sharp 1st time.. Gosden's strike rate here is ok (19%), but his 2 year olds excel.
Beverley 3.20 Saif Sareea 11/4f (Sporting Odds, Paddy Power)
Newmarket 4.55 Invention 5/1 (SO, PP)
