2 horses run today with excellent trainer record at the courses:

Richard Fahey trained Saif Sareea, will be a short price at his local track, but in Handicaps at Beverley, Fahey has a 21% strike rate, returning profits since 2000 of 109pts. Last year he had 10 winners from 40 runners giving a profit of 38pts.

At Newmarket today, John Gosden races Invention for the 1st time. He has the knack of getting 1st time wins from his horses and Invention's pedigree suggests he will be sharp 1st time.. Gosden's strike rate here is ok (19%), but his 2 year olds excel.

Beverley 3.20 Saif Sareea 11/4f (Sporting Odds, Paddy Power)
Newmarket 4.55 Invention 5/1 (SO, PP)

I'll never learn.I've just backed Invention

I think somebody else has bought a copy of Trainer Trends :fishing:

Just been running a few queries in Raceform - you might want to avoid Gosden horses in non handicaps when they move to the July course - the numbers are ugly. His 2 year olds produce much better returns than 3 year olds, similar number of runners and winners but the return is 78% with 2 year olds and 22.7% with 3 year olds, still a decent return though.

Ripon
3.55 Nawaques 9/2

Seb Sanders turns down rides at Newmarket to take the long trip to Ripon..... i think this price won't last long...

that one decided to not run, so money back :)

Bath 7.10 - Pride Of Nation RP NAP @ 3/1f

not a big price, but in form Luca Cumani's Strike Rate in Handicaps is only 14%. At Bath it's 30%. He's only had 20 runners here in the last 5 years.

2005 2 wins in 6 for LSP of 6pts
April 2 wins in 5 for LSP of 1pt.

noticed that Blue Patrick is running at a price of 25/1. RP reckon he is handicapped to the hilt, but back in trip here could run close for a place.

Is that considered as a winning bet? :D

The H

it would be criminal of me to not put it up.... i'm keeping a record or all qualifying bets

personally, i'm not going to bet, because they'll be plenty of big prices qualifiers coming in the summer

Pride Of Nation won at 2/1f..... in fact it romped it..

2 Dandy Nicholls runners in the 1.50 at Epsom tomorrow... Unfortunately he's not hot there til June, so ones to watch only....

Wanchai Lad 6/1 (spodds)
Plateau 6/1 (spodds)

Saif Sareea runs in the 4.25 at Catterick, will be a short price favourite, but can go one better than last weeks 2nd.

Saif Sareea won at odds on... :)

4.45 Perth
Altitude Dancer 10/1

ran like a dog....

i was all over Liberthine (3.25 Sandown) in the Betfred Gold Cup..... now Pricewise has tipped it up..... 12/1 seems about ok, but i wouldn't go shorter than that...... Puntal could also provide a big run at 12/1 too.

The H

Liberthine placed at 10/1

Brighton 4.30 - Cantrip 4/1 @ Stan James looks a fair price.

Brooke Sanders has an excellent Strike Rate at Brighton. 17 winners in 61 runs in the last 6 years with an LSP of 72pts. 13 (from 32 runs) of those wins since 2004.

Only 2 runners in April with 1 winner at 7/1.
