Here in good old Houston, when the new Football Franchise needed a new Stadium at a cost of around $600 million they simply went to see the local council and had them put a "Stadium Tax" on Hotel Rooms and Hire Cars. This tax only applied if you were visiting Houston - If you could show/proove a Houston address no Stadium Tax was added.
So how many hotel rooms and hire cars get taken within a 15 mile radius of Griffin Park every day - It's got to be at least 5,000.00 and probably many more - Get the Council to put a 1 Pound BFC Tax on these things and we then get visitors to pay us the 7 Million we need and not the locals - And it takes less than 6 Month's !!!
Was not a problem in Houston so should not be a problem in Brentford
Note however that the Stadium has been built (Superb Structure) and paid for but the tax is still there !!!!!
So as you see - 7 Million really is not a problem
