Dear Mr The H,
I am going to Ladies Day at Ascot next thursday and, apart from living it up, i plan to make myself rich. Please may you assist me in my goal and provide me a few tips.
(i will also share my tips :sneakoff: a mate of mine is alright at the horses, so i'll nick his tips and tell you all :))

I am going to Ladies Day at Ascot next thursday and, apart from living it up, i plan to make myself rich by getting hold of some ugly old rich divorcee and marrying it at breakneck speed so her portfolio becomes 50% mine and then I'll divorce it
Excellent Business Plan DtB, glad you learnt something at Uni ! :sorted:

I shall also be there, however horses are not the main attraction at Ascot, if you have not been before you will know what I mean by 14.00. Then watch all the girls fall around on the ground pissed up while the chelsea / millwall / west ham boys have a rumble around 16.30 by the rear bar
Will be back on Friday as well so will watch for tips....

As i thought, there's nothing at Ascot for the real punter.. Fun bets all the way, if you are gonna have fiver on every race, go for something e/w.
Get a copy of the RacingPost, it will know more than i do about all the horses i've picked.....
2.30 (12 run)
'Blue Dakota' (10/11f) may well win, but won't back it odds on, I like the look of 'Skywards' (9/2), but my value pick is 'Mystical Land' (10/1). 'Joseph Henry' may not run but if he does, may be worth considering.
3.05 (9 run)
Nothing i fancy in this race. You can't rule out 'Punctilious' (7/2f), but i'll pass her over for Modesta (8/1). Wouldn't rule out 'Feaat', 'Rave Reviews' and 'Sahool' either. (that's 5 picks out of 9... great tipster eh)
3.45 (14 run)
A couple stand out.. Should see 'Mr Dinos' and 'Papineau' (ridden by Dettori and Fallon) battle it out. Mr Dinos for me to win the Gold Cup again.
4.20 (20 run) pin sticking time. e/w only
'Etmaam' (12/1) ?
'Destination Dubai' (14/1)?
4.55 (13 run)
'Privy Seal' (7/1) can go close, 'Mutafanen' and 'Lord Mayor' (5/1) too. Lord Mayor edges it as the classier of the 3 horses.
5.30 (30 run!!!!!) e/w picks only
'Alshawameq' (14/1) has a great draw. So does 'Gold Mask' (12/1). Have been following 'Zonus' (8/1) this season and can't be ruled out but its too short for me. 'Credit' (33/1) is drawn nicely and is the long shot of the day.

Ingrandire has been brought over from Japan for the Ascot 3:45 for tomorrow (17th). Worth a small bet.
