Yesterday I stuck £25 E/W on the Bees to win the 2nd Division 2004-2005.
Now that the title of our division has changed to League One is my bet still valid?
It strikes me that should the Bees finish top and I win a cool grand, Ladbrokes will doanything to avoid paying out?

No it is still completey valid, they wouldn't risk the ridiculously bad publicity that would go with not paying out... and as Graham Sharpe (The punters friend) says, they actually LOVE paying out
I think by law they don't have to pay out on anything ever anyway... but that may have changed... the slip is merely a reminder of the gentlemens agreement

Strictly speaking there is no law, you cannot take a bookie to court for not paying out on a winning bet, its a complete scandal.

The law is gambling debts are not enforceable in law. Except, of course, for exceptions like spread betting on financial instruments.
