Get rid of some of the muppets who have their hands in the till at BFC
Just think, the next time that standing order leaves your bank account, or you write out an application for a loan note or simply drop some cash in the bucket...its not going towards saving BFC...
ITS SIMPLY GOING ON STAFF WAGES AND NON-PLAYING ONES AT THAT :sorted:
Something very dirty and fishy going on at GP, you will be caught though chaps, thats a promise :sorted:

Brickie,
I thought I was cynical.
So what do you want us to do? Turn up at the football and that's it? What you've posted is a pretty strong accusation. Can you back it up with facts? Otherwise you're tarring a lot of people with a lot of feathers.

So we have unpaid volunteers, who become part time employees, who then become full time employees...and yet they become less accountable than when they were unpaid...jobs for the boys...what makes them suitable for the roles they're doing? When they were volunteers, they couldn't be criticised but when they started getting paid...
Without the mugs like you and me dropping cash in, the Club folds, therefore these 'chosen few' need to show a little more respect for the rank and file members...and yes I raised this matter direct...the whole thing stinks
As for King...I laughed when first told the news as I assumed it was a joke...
As for tarring people, good, they(the Board of BFC) are tarring us a collective of uneducated fools by consistently thinking that we cant work out what they are up to, how wrong they are...if that offends I really don't care...I'd rather have someone upset that my Club disappearing...

Lokster - Brickie Chap has funded BU in a substantial way and if he is so unhappy, to me somthing is going wrong.
If the awarding of part- time salaries and re allignment of salary to market rate is such an obviously vital decision, why weren`t the fellow BU Board members consulted first?
I have stopped all my efforts for BU because of these dodgy decisions and I am only keeping my SO, out of respect to Stedders and PJ.

I wouldnt call it substantial, in comparison with what other people give in terms of time or money, but as I donate something, I reserve the right to have an opinion of how that cash is spent, or as seems, wasted...

I didn't say that you didn't have the right to criticise. We all have the right to criticise even the lowly people amongst us who haven't "funded BU in a big way".
Do we know what they are being paid? I don't but then I'm not privy to inside information like a number of people who post here.
Are the off-pitch wages higher than they were five years ago/a year ago/three months ago? If they are then, yes, something is wrong - we aren't paying to fund other people's lifestyles. But I don't know this. All I wanted was evidence.
I happen to agree that promoting Mr King, who didn't seem capable of doing his own job properly, seems the wrong decision. That's a purely personal feeling, particularly if he is going to receive a significant pay rise without having any kind of targets or written strategy for the club.
I also think that the backroom decision does imply that Brentford FC are happy to take Bees United's money, in order to keep trading without giving them the ability (or them accepting it) to consult properly with their members.
I don't think that the Bees United directors are behaving in a way that fits with their positions within Bees United.
The board of directors have to make decisions but to agree to a decision like this one without consultation seems inept. Surely as Bees United nominees they are perfectly within their rights to say, "Well, personally I think this is a good idea but I represent x number of paying members. They need to be consulted."
It doesn't have to be every decision.
As the people keeping this club alive in the closed season we have a right to ask questions but my initial point was that it seemed quite a harsh and broad criticism without any facts being present. Now Brickie Chap may have those facts, I don't.

Ummmmm, yes we are paying to fund other people's lifestyles. If someone is working full time for BFC then we pay their wages as in any other job and as in any other job they would be entitled to expect their employers to review their circumstances regularly and award pay rises if they are justified. Off pitch wages being higher isn't necessarily a problem if we are getting more out of the staff we employ. If we could get all the positions at BFC filled by volunteers then great but its unlikely isn't it? The issue seems to be whether any staffing changes (pay rises, promotions, etc) can be justified to the fans.

Simon,
I think that's what I meant, i.e. we aren't supposed to be splashing out vast quantities of cash to people who don't 'cost justify themselves'.
I want to know what Roy King's strategy/business plan/development plan is that made him the best candidate for this job? I want to know how Roy King is going to be judged? I want to know what his notice period is and I want to know why it was felt that no other person should be approached?
I don't expect the club to be run by volunteers but I do expect the club to be RUN PROFESSIONALLY.

Lokster - Agree 110%.
I also want the BU BFC Directors to consult the BU Board on major decsions for ratification.
