Richard Cadette scored twice, Holdsworth not too sure who scored the other. A fab night! Bearing in mind, the pre-season before, we'd lost to them 6-0!

Under the floodlights, there's nothing quite like it is there.....

Great game. Caddette ran rings around Elliot.
4-2 up at half time then we relaxed.
Can only remember two of the goals, caddette turning and curling one in top corner from outside the box and holdsworth hitting a thunderbolt from edge of area.

I'm pretty sure that Blisset got the other one.

What ever happened to Simon Racliffe?

I'm 99 % certain on this
After he left Gillingham's Youth Team set up he moved back to Norfolk and joined the prison service doing sports related things.
Thats working in the prison service as opposed to being in prison ! ( 100 % certain )

Good for him...
Was reading the 'Brentford cults and legends' book and was thinking why aren't there players like Ken Coote anymore or Higgerson.
Some amusing stories from Allon aswell, he was ****ing mental!
It's a shame this game has got the way it is, referee's give everything away these days, you can hardly be physical anymore...
Just look at QPR, They get trained by Ballet Dancers (that explains alot)
but players like Hurlock, Bates, they were my ideal players..
Went abit astray there but when reading that book it does bring back some memories. I will be very sad when Brentford leave Griffin Park. That place is like a second home!

What about beating them 3-0 in a friendly during the 80's.

Yep! Sure do. Dont remember the scorers, seem to remember Graham Wilkins (Butches') brother playing for us that night.
