After the retirement of Burridges Bullett, we asked the trainer (Ray Peacock) if he knew of any up and coming youngsters. He recommended an April 2002 whelp called JOHNJOES HERO....we watched in run in an A5 in which it fell out, missed the first bend carnage and finished second.

I wasn't impressed by the old fellah decided to buy it...it has since won all of its first 3 races for us at 3/1, 3/1 and last Saturday at 5/1. It will be up to A2 now!

Still one to follow, he is a very determined dog and he will be schooled over hurdles soon and if he takes to it will be aimed at the Springbok.

The Springbok is for novice greyhound hurdlers with good flat speed!

Trap 1 tonight at Wimbledon in the 9.45pm. Not without a chance, trainer says the dog is "very well in himself"

Mark you say this is been tipped by Racing Post well that is only peper talk and if they got it right every time none of us would have to work.

What has your trainer said has he told you it will win if it traps out quick or does the dog have spped at the end of race.

His last 7 races are 5 wins and 2 seconds. Not bad.

The trainer has said the greyhound is in great form and that's all I need to know. From 25 years of greyhound trainers I've found you are best off making your own mind up.

I saw the draw yeserday and thought he had a great chance, so no suprise he has been tipped by Racing Post. I think he'll be about 9/4 - 5/2. He has good early but has won races coming from 5th at the second bend. The TWO dog has good early pace but I think he can lead him/ or pick him off on the run in.

A lot depends on the going, its been suiting the outside traps one night/ inside the next.

Got 2/1...finished 7/4fav.

Started slowly and gave Tp2 a big start which he couldn't get back. Came second again. Thats 5 wins & 3 seconds in his last eight races, which is brilliant.

Has won Dog of the Month for June at Wimbledon :sorted:
