I understand the altonwood fear but let us all be upbeat for a change as things are clearly happening in other parts of our great club that is making us all smile.

Well said :bound: :bound: :bound:

Redeaing between the lines a little. As it is a three year deal at Griffin ark does this mean that Lionel Road and other possible sites are in difficulty? Or does it mean we will remain at Griffin Park for the foreseeable untiol a new ground is ready (if we are still in existence)

[QUOTE=Brickie Chap]I have a feeling the terms are quite reasonable :sorted:

I think your right :sorted:

well done JC

erm even if Lionel Road got the go-ahead tomorrow I suspect we'd be at GP for at least 3 years.

That said even I'm beginning to think the positive vibes are beginning to outweigh the negative

Now if we could only put Ace into reverse (and say welcome back Bish  ) and get rid of Altonwood!!!!

Doug's boys know then. Does anyone the difference between "quite reasonable" and "substantial"?

I'm surprised at you Mr Haywarc  This is Brentford we're talking about - you just know that something shite's probably lurking round the corner whenever there's good news released, "it's Brentford innit !" :sorted:

Altonwood is an oh so slightly large problem - about £7m's worth in fact  :mad1:

What would you expect the deal to be? What would you be happy with?

Openness and transparency from our "supporters' run club"

Excellent, you have no interest in the amount of the deal

Maybe Qatar don`t want figures bandied about? Wouldn`t be that uncommon for a deal to include the line "undisclosed sum" - it happens quite often even in player transfers....frustrating though it is.

It does say "record breaking sponsorship deal" at least.

Why does even good news get slagged  :)

One exceedingly good reason why people don't always jump cartwheels Pete is that the bloke who is so unbelievably lucky to be in the honoured position of Brentford Chairman is a best mate of the piece of sh1t pictured below, that's why !

I don't trust Noades, Waddington or Rogers as far as I could throw them, it's a crying shame that other BU Committee members didn't when Noades' demands were all passed :mad1:

I can confirm that the deal is more than I expected, but less than I hoped.

Well done Jerry and keep Roy King away from the deal or getting the paint or in fact everything.

Maybe other people don't want figures bandied about. As for your other point - read the first post on this thread. If it's Qatar that don't want others to know, surely they would have been told that this is a "supporters' run club" and that it would be hard to justify not revealing the amount without some massive justification.

What was our previous "record sponsorship deal" then PJ?

I have no idea Nana - that is a question for those who did the deal

re Question 2. I can`t recall a figure being published before re previous {roof} sponsorship deals?

The last one was £60k so if it's more than that then it's excellent business, any less then it's very good business providing it's above the £30k repair costs that we were going to be faced with !

When are the roofs going to be prepared and painted? Not enough time before the start of the season possibly.

Hopefully scaffolding would be avoided.
