I am glad that we have some substantial amount of money coming in. Should pare down the overdraft a little...

However, I do find it annoying that it's ok to brief others that the deal was for £400k but not tell the fans (directly that is).
You are also presuming that the Sun didn't pull that figure directly out of their arse.
Wonder how they found out then when, according to PJ, the Qatarians wanted to keep it quiet.
They could have read this thread and made a rough guess, or possibly phoned up Qatar Airlines directly? Or pulled it out of their arse. I somehow was reading the Star today instead of working and came across this, no pun intended :D

From the link provided by PJ
The club have already received £75,000 to pay for sealing of the old design and repainting of the new advertisement. When this is completed, the airline will make the first of three payments of £100,000.
So it's £100,000 per year that will hit the bottom line.

Well done to those responsible for this deal, we all know that we're in the shit with Noades. But I'm with Dangerous on this one, lets get positive about our football club. If we all moaned, and our posts were always negative. We would frighten everyone away. Please remember sometimes moaning can do more harm than good :nono:
With a deal this size, those at the top really ought to make more of the involvement of the individuals in this deal. All to often, directors/employees are on the receiving end when there's bad news. A £400,000 deal is worth at least a 'big up' to those who set it up.

Two things on Sunday.
1. The pitch looked crap for the start of the season
2. The roof looks worse than crap, how long does it take to do a deal?.

1. I thought the pitch looked fine
2. The deal for the roof is done. I guess we're waiting to get the painters in. Dare say it will be done before the start of the season.
