A chance conversation with some "old hands" recently has led to the suggestion of a Hey Jude Veterans teams at WorldNET next year.

I have been to four WorldNETs (and enjoyed every minute) but I have never played a minute of football (if that's what it's called). Suffice to say the team could (I said could, OK?) include a new slimline Stedders and, who knows, we may be able to tempt luminaries such as PJ, Scratchy or even Minky out of retirement.

Anyone else interested, in an over 30s side (or chronically unfit mid-20s)?

I will be 30 by the time then next Worldnet comes along. :cry: :cry: If there's enough interest in the idea I might be tempted to put on the boots once more.

I think in this particular case the term "veteran" is gauged more in mentality than your birth certificate!

My understanding is that next year's WorldNET will probably be 15-17 July and that the favoured location is Liverpool Uni. with Boddington Hall as a fall back if necessary. Should know more next week
