How did the song go ? At the time me and the lads were just teenyboppers who didn't mix with the big bad fellas doing the main singing so could never quite figure out what this song/chant was supposed to be ???

I always preferred Jolly but thought it was likely to be the latter.

That'll be the same Joe Allon who had a better goals to game ratio than Dean Holdworth?

I remember moaning in Stripes once about Joe the lazy ****** "Offside Allon", when this bloke came up and said exuse me, I'm Joe's mate and said exactly the same thing to him last week.

Apparently Noddy told hom to get offside, the logic being that whenever we were defending, rather than to conceed a dangerous throw or a corner, all our defenders had to do was to hoof the ball over the halfay line. The deeper Joe was in their half - the more he was offside, was the further that the resulting freekick would be pushed back to.

When you think abou it, what would you rather defend!

One of my personal ever favorite Bees moments was when Geordie Joe scored two in 3 minutes away at wolves with a packed away end!

Geordie Joe a real character who didn't get credit he deserved for his goal scoring.

Fat lazy and slow were other words I would use to describe him also.

The closest I've come to actually being killed at a football match was after that.

Also loved the time when during the warm up, he was deliberately belting the ball into the packed Reading fans in the Brook Rd. lol lol

My favourite Joe moments were the time he collided with an opponent in front of New Road then pretended to lick the blood off his elbow :D and the running in circles round the keeper every time we got a corner (no idea why, probably just to **** em off)
