I see from the programme that the flight is off because not enough people wanted to travel that way.
Shame as 180 showed interest.
I guess I won't be going now as I am too old to drive up there in the afternoon, back after the match and in to work (30 miles from home) for 8.00 next morning.
Before I am accused of being a wimp, I have done that for Darlo away, but I was younger and with a full car of 'talkers' to keep me awake!
And ther I was looking forwarding to flying (poser, or what!!!)

I think it wasn't so much that not enough people wanted to go that way (I'm flying up with at least 9 others) but when I got my flights for £27 the club's £100+ started to look a little expensive. Try Easyjet for flights to Newcastle, there's probably still fairly cheap flights if you don't mind a stopover & making your own way from geordieland to Hartlepool for the match.

Stopover is the problem.
I must get back to Camberley and then be at work in Denham for 8.00 am!

BMI also to Durham Tees Valley, but it's a circuitous route from there to Hartlepool by public transport...
Personally, I will be on the X5 from Eldon Square...

To be honest i don't recall anybody saying that they had to book the plane in December.
I probably would have confirmed in January, just to keep the interest off my card.
And how many of the 180 who showed an interest even considered Stansted to be an option - Bristols airport would have been easier for most to get to

They didn't actually say November, but, "We now need your firm commitment in order to book this flight, we would therefore appreciate your early response."
Nothing about paying straight away either. Let's hope that it wasn't just that reason why there was insufficient interest.

Wasn't the plan originally going to be from Heathrow...well at least that's what was on OS. I'm sure that's one of the main reasons many people showed interest.
The alternative is BMI from Heathrow to Durham Tees Valley...however the next returning flight arrives back in London at 7:50 Wednesday morning.

You can still get flights very cheap on the day in question.
I have just got mine for £32.48 inc tax and ruddy £4 credit card charge  still great value having a night in Newcastle.

What is up with taking 1 days holiday for the Bees and this can be done if planned right and pretty cheap to apart from days holiday.

Yes, the cost and Stanstead put me off I am afraid, especially as I have to pay for student son to go as well.
