Can someone tell me the best way to get to the ground and where to park. With all this talk of Old Bill at the station turning away fans without valid tickets, I am driving down, but haven't a clue where to go.
Will they have road blocks around Hampshire?
Seriously, any advice would be good as I have to make arrangements to meet a friendly Saint with my tickets.

I don't know the area, but looking at the map a Southampton fan put here earlier in the week, the ground is easy walking distance from the city centre... just the other side of the railway line by the look of it
We're probably going to try to use the parking in one of the main shopping centres and walk to the ground from there

Parking round ground is shite - park and ride is 25 mn bus ride away
I have been advised to park in town or as close as poss and then get taxi or walk

Take a look at Saints OS, there's a piece there about car parking in the Park-and-Ride. Away fans who have used this facility speak highly of it and it gives a quick access to the M27 after the game. I am driving down with 3 others (all S/T holders so no abuse!) and am aiming to park there by 1 pm.

Note to Paul USA - please make sure the computers you are jolly kindly supplying have a spell checker as the ones they use at the moment obviously don't

Just one further point. The away tickets have "Bus in" and "Bus out" tear offs on them & I have been told that if you don't have tickets with you at the time of parking you won't be able to use this facility, parking or riding.

This is on the Saints web site and are good directions to "safe parking"

there is lots of parking in city centre around west quay shopping centre although its busy and can be pricey (the asda car park maybe the best bet) for the longer stay most residential areas have good bus links to the city/ground
i live in hythe and will be getting the ferry across to the city (15 minute crossing ) then about 20 minutes to the ground

Probably the best idea...and it is not a long walk to the ground through St.Mary's...and best pubs are in town...St.Mary's is not the best area of Soton....lots of parking around West Quay shopping centre if u get there early enough.....
