if you do buy a Lap top please dont buy the cheap option as no bettery life on those you really want a good centrino notebook and some have a Batt life of up to 9hr realistic 5-6 but much better than non centrino notebooks, imo you can not get a better notebook than IBM.

Totally agree with Dangerous, IBM are the way to go. I'm using my one at the moment.
