if he does go back onto the bench when neimi is fit again, hopefully he will take it with true profesionalism, although it will bee a massive blow for him with his confidence riding high....but you never know what could happen in the summer, whether saints stay up or get relegated.
smithy for england ;) :)

They seem to be very pleased with him down at St Marys. Maybe we will get all the fee after all !!!

Shame England haven't got a joke friendly coming up, that £50k would be in the bag.

The only chance Smithy has of getting an England place is if either Soton stay up or he goes to another Prem side. That **** Sven doesn't think there are any other teams below the Premiershite, and to be honest there are good players down in the Championship that would play better in an England shirt than some of them useless tossers Sven picks. Example if Norwich get relegated Ashton and Green will have to jump ship to a Prem team otherwise they won't get picked playing in the Championship.
McLaren for England is what I say....with MA in 2014 WC....fukking stick to English managers!
JB....don't start!

Johnny - tell me which position the only player who has played for England under Sven while playing in the Championship/Division 1 plays!

He picked 2 of them Ed, although only 1 played in the team, and I doubt both would still be involved if they weren't now in the Premiership.

Didn't have too much to do regarding saves last night, but punched quite a lot,and his kicking was good.Good to see him back, though would have liked to test him more

I liked Dobbo's long range effort or was that a ball for Deon to chase?

On current form Green will be lucky to get in the Norwich team. :sorted:

nice to see him back at GP, and he did well with what he had to do. played consistantly which is what you want as a GK
Loved the way the crowd cheered smithy when he came on. an absolute legend ;)

First half someone (possibly Deon) absolutely clattered into him after he'd already caught a high ball so I stood up and shouted "welcome back Smithy". :D There were many sniggers around me (and one very embarrassed girlfriend sitting to my left).

Played an absolute blinder today,Garth Crooks on score interactive was going mental about him,Ray Stubbs telling him to calm down was great viewing
Southampton 1-0 Tottenham, and in my book, that means that Smudger is better than Paul Robinson...

Just seen him on Match of the Day. It was easy to get excited about him when he was playing for us but I'm convinced now that he'll be in our World Cup squad next year (assuming we qualify!)
