i know its been asked before but just to confirm-its after 50 apperarences that we get some money isnt it? then 100 the 1(?) England cap and a % of any future transfer fee over what they paid us for him

If he gets sold, what's happens to the money that we would have got from Soton? Does it get transferred to the new club or does a settlement get reached? Or do we just lose out?

Can I recommend using this facility (http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/search.php?) where you will find your answer about 6 times. Thanks

I don't recall a question regarding what happens if he is sold. Perhaps someone could help.

From the Club's website:
"Paul Bryce asked what the terms of Paul Smith's transfer to Southampton was?
Finance Director Stephen Callen: "We received £250,000 as an initial fee. We receive a further £100,000 after Paul has made 20 first team appearances for Southampton, an additional £100,000 after 40 appearances, and £50,000 if he obtains a full England cap in a competitive international. Southampton's relegation makes no difference to this arrangement."

lol
So it's actually:
"We received £2.50 as an initial fee. We receive a further £1.00 after Paul has made 2000 first team appearances for Southampton, an additional £1.00 after 4000 appearances, and £5 if scores the winning goal in a World Cup Final after the year 3000 for Ghana. Nelson Mandela's release makes no difference to this arrangement."

If what the OS says is true. We are now only 10 games from a further £100K. :sorted: Just what we needed to plug the Broncos deficit.
Oh sorry, a line has been drawn under that subject!! ;)

Unless, of course, they were both in the budget already :(

Can't surely have been in the budget, if we don't know when or if he ever will reach the necessary games played milestones. ;)

Well of course not!!! Not even BFC would do that. That would be folly of the highest order - he might do his knee tomorrow and never play again.

Wouldn't have been in the budget, but might have been in the forecast.
