Hello gentlemen.
I am now in a position to pass on details about this year's WorldNET tournament.
It will again be taking place in Leeds, at Boddington Hall on the weekend of 15-17 July.
For anyone who hasn't been, or was just too drunk to remember, WorldNET is the annual end of season Competition foir all the Internet Football Association teams, like ourselves. It is 2 days of football, with a round robin on the Saturday and 2 knock-out competitions on the Sunday, depending on where you finish in your group on Saturday.
2 years ago we reached the final of the pate with only 12 players, and last year we reached the quater-finals with even less (I played for God's sake).
I have entered us and am now guaging interest from people who want to go.
The cost of the weekend will be approx £75, this includes 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) bed and breakfast and 2 days football, it also covers all other expenses, kit, balls, first aid stuff etc.
If you are interested in going then please let me know, I am taking depositis as of now, this can be as much or as little as you like but it is non-refundable.
If you have any question then please get in touch.

Hi all.
This years WorldNET will again take place at Boddington Hall, Leeds on the weekend of 15-17 July.
We have entered a team and it's now time for me to start taking in money and getting the arrangements sorted.
Due to a small rise in accomodation costs this year it will cost £80, but this will cover any associated costs that Hey Jude incure, supplies, first aid etc.
What I need from you know is a declaration of interest, ie 'yes Chris I want to go', and then a deposit.
I need £40 from every person that intends to go by May 21st, as I need to put a deposit down for our accomodation by the end of that month.
I then need to balance by June 25th so I can pay our final bill.
If money is an issue I will be taking initial deposits of £20 but I still need £40 by the May deadline.
If anyone has any questions then please ask.
If you want to send money please pay cheques to me 'Chris Wickham', ' C Wickham', 'Mr C Wickham' etc and send them to 9 Charles Court, 30 Hampton Road, Teddington, Middlesex, TW11 0JT.
Or pass it to me at a Brentford or Hey Jude game.
I will take cash if needs be, but please put it in an envelope or something in case I get confused as to what it is.
Thanks
Chris
P.S. If Stedders has been in contact with you re a 'veterans' team then you can send money to me in this way, or give it to him.
Thanks

We are now in the 'last chance saloon' for this year's WorldNET.
If I don't get some sort of positive indication from people soon, then there may not be room for you.

Directions
Bodington Hall is 4 miles north of the University campus. The entrance to the site is on the east side of the A660, accessible from the Leeds City Ring Road (A6120).
By car
Note that there is a 10mph speed limit and a one-way traffic system on site.
From the South (M1)
At junction 43 the motorway splits. Take the right hand lanes and follow the M621 Leeds Centre. Exit the M621 at junction 3 and follow signs for the city centre and universities on the City Centre loop road. Pass under the railway bridges, keeping in the outside lane, and enter City Square. With the main Post Office on your right, continue along the loop road and turn right at the next traffic lights onto East Parade. Travel up East Parade in the left hand lane, straight across The Headrow into Calverley Street (the Town Hall will be on your left), straight on at the next traffic lights, past the Leeds General Infirmary (on your left) and filter into the right hand lane before turning right immediately after the Civic Hall (on your right). Turn left at the next traffic lights onto Woodhouse Lane (A660) and continue for approximately 4 miles along this road. Go straight ahead at the roundabout with the Outer Ring Road (A6120), past the police station and the University athletics ground and take the next right turn.
By Coach
The taxi fare to Bodington Hall should be about £7.
The number 95 bus will take you from the city centre straight to Bodington Hall. You can catch the service every 10 minutes from Infirmary Street on City Square close to the rail station.
The coach stops on Wellington Street, which is off City Square, those going by megabus should check out www.megabus.com and look at the maps, you can see how close it is!!!
Weather
It is not expected to be as hot as it has been in London over the last couple of days but it could be, please come prepared for all eventualities.
It could **** down with rain!!
Money
I have money sorted with those who still need to pay. This entitles you to dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday at the times above. Dinner on Saturday and all other meals needs to be covered by yourselves, there are plenty of curry houses!!!
I have little doubt many people will be heading into Leeds on Friday and Saturday night so please prepare for this too.
Rooms
When you arrive on Friday I will allocate a room, this is your responsibility from then on, and any damages will incur a cost, treat them with respect.
Rob does not have a room so if someone wants to offer their floor I am sure he will be very grateful!!
When you arrive on Friday I will give you vouchers for breakfast, and (I presume) dinner. You can’t eat without these, don’t lose them. If you don’t want breakfast again Rob might be grateful for the voucher.
Contact numbers
I have a contact number for at least 1 person in every travelling group, if you don’t know if I have your number please give it to me.
My number is 07736284322, my phone will not be turned off all weekend, and I can assure you of that.
And finally…….
These are the WorldNet rules distributed by the organisers
all rules for both events will be as per the Football Association, with the following exceptions:
Games will be 15 minutes each way with a five minute break between halves.
In the event of a draw in the knockout stages, a ten-minute “Golden Goal” period will be played (no half time).
If the teams are still level at the end of this period the tie will be decided on penalties.
Teams will be allowed a maximum of five substitutions per game.
Players who have previously been taken off can be brought back on during the same game, this will count towards the maximum of five.

disciplinary measures
In the unlikely event of any player receiving a sending off or two bookings, they will miss their teams’ next game. Bookings or sendings-off from the first day are not carried forward to the next day.
top of page
administration
Each group on the first day of the tournament will have a ‘Group Co-ordinator’. During the knockout stages on day two their job title will suddenly change to ‘ Pitch Co-ordinator’! They will be expected to fulfil the following duties:
Make sure that both teams and the officials for each match are ready to start games on time.
You will be provided with a full match schedule and the names of officials for all your games.
Liase with the referee at the end of each game, to confirm the score, and take note of any bookings or sendings off.
Report scores, bookings and sendings off, to the IFA Central Admin Desk at the first available opportunity.
Liase with the Senior Group Co-ordinator on all other matters.

disclaimer
As per official IFA policy, WorldNet 2005 has not been registered with the FA at Lancaster Gate and hence is not an FA sanctioned tournament.
We, the IFA, must make it clear that all players compete in the tournament at their own risk. Football can result in injuries, sometimes serious, but the organisers of WorldNet 2005 cannot be held responsible for any injuries incurred during the tournament. Likewise, they cannot be held responsible for any theft or damage to belongings or motor vehicles whilst at the venue.
Teams who reach their respective finals could end up playing a total of five to six hours football, and because the tournament is in July it could be in relatively high temperatures. It is the responsibility of each player to ensure that they are fit and well enough to participate and do not enter the tournament with any medical condition, which could endanger their health. All matches will be played on grass; it is up to players to decide on suitable footwear.
top of page
it's only a game
Certain supporters have old rivalries with other teams supporters. If anyone wishes to display their feelings towards another team, they should do this by scoring a spectacular hat trick rather than a Cantonaesque flying drop kick!
Likewise, with the increase in the number of competing teams and the advent of the second day plate competition, even the most competitive of sides will have little or no excuse for not giving ALL their players, a fair “crack of the whip” in terms of playing time. We all know don’t we boys and girls, that it’s not the winning that counts, but the taking part!!
top of page
officials
Since the emphasis of the tournament is on fun, players shall respect ALL decisions made by officials even though they may be obviously wrong! Referees and lines people will be instructed to punish acts of dissent severely, and those teams that persistently offend in this manner will face an immediate IFA Disciplinary Hearing. Physical and persistent verbal abuse of officials will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and will result in instant expulsion from the tournament.
top of page
racism, racist abuse and pro-diversity
Any incidence of racism or racist abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances. It is EVERY participant's duty to ensure that the tournament and its participants are not subject to any form of racism or racist abuse. We gladly welcome all participants regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Any participant or team that fails to extend this welcome to their fellow participants is not welcome at this tournament or any of our other activities.
N.B. Would Team Managers/Organisers please make sure that these rules are circulated promptly to all potential participants at WorldNet 2005 and reply to me, R.Goodair@brad.ac.uk, stating that this has been done. Your email header should read: WorldNet 2005 – Rules Circulated - Team Name.

Lots of information on WorldNet can be found at www.worldnet.org.uk
I can be contacted on 020 8939 1535 tomorrow between 8am and 3pm or on my mobile, please ask any questions.
I would like a very quick meeting on the Friday evening just so everyone knows each other and we can work out our plans.
See you all soon
