At this moment in time, Beesotted find themselves mid-table in Division 4 of the Chiswick & District League, having fancied our chances of winning the division this year.
This season has very much been one of transition, despite not having had a large change in personnel at the beginning of the season. Our inconsistency has been our downfall, but where we have improved, has been our team spirit, which has been absolutely brilliant, and, in fact, improved over the course of the season.
Having a team largely made up of Brentford fans really helps our cause, but certainly, with 99% of the squad not even knowing each other 2 years ago, the friendships that have been encouraged have been key to our success.
With our manager, Jan Pratt, having had a turbulent year for personal reasons, it has not helped the team achieve what we wanted to achieve for this season. Having such high expectations, the pressure was insurmountable, and only a winning streak of 4 games from our last 4 games will enable us to "earn" promotion.
Despite our relatively poor performances and league position, the squad is in buoyant mood, especially since the turn of the year, as our performances have improved greatly, and with preparations being made for next season, it is sure to be a very exciting 2005/6 season for Beesotted.
We have, since January, raised a reserve team, who are playing friendlies throughout the rest of this season. We have had to raise a reserve team, due to our very large squad which shows that our team spirit is as good as we claim. With 32 players for only one team, it was surprising that we didn't lose alot of players this season due to lack of games, but before any problems could manifest themselves within the squad, we raised the reserve team, to tun parallel to the first team.
Our reserve team is very different to our first team, as we are playing under no pressure, and the players are instructed to play good football, rather than hoofing the ball as far as we possible can. In the 3 full fixtures that we have managed since January, the reserves are showing our first team that we will push them for places and can play in a style that is attractive to watch. This was highlighted in the reserves' second ever game, as we lost by only 5-3 to the first team.
Some of the highlights of this season so far have been Gibbo attending our pre-season training, to help improve the fitness of our players. Mr Woo guest-coaching in January, and demonstrating some of his amazing talents to the Beesotted squad.
Our Griffin Park game against Hey Jude, where we put in our best performance of the season against a very strong Hey Jude side. And finally, Our Amsterdam trip, where 11 of us flew over to enjoy a weekend to remember, and also proudly flew the Bernie Watson St George's Cross Flag at the NAC Breda vs AZ league game. A very odd moment, as thousands of eyes were upon us, wondering why on earth a Brentford flag was u pin their stadium.
Hopefully, there'll be more highlights to come between now and the end of our season.

We've had an incredible 1000 visitors per month since we launched the site just over 2 years ago, for which we are very grateful. We know that there is a large number of Brentford fans who regularly follow our progress from afar, and as a Brentford team, we hope to represent Brentford supporters in the Sunday League with pride. And a smile on our faces too.
Finally, we hope to announce a Cup Final that we will be involved in towards the end of the season. This is a real David vs Goliath clash, as we would be facing a team no less than 6 divisions higher than ourselves, but as ever, we always feel that we stand a chance to deliver on the big day, unless it goes to penalties, in which case, don't hold your breaths. We would hope that some Brentford fans take interest in this Cup Final, which we will announce as soon as the date is decided by our league.
Thanks to all those who have supported us this season, including generous Bees fans who have made donations to our club, and the staff at Brentford FC, who have been amazing in their support for Beesotted FC.
