To be honest and I know it goes against the grain but I was hoping to put a few quid in a bucket as if they do lock the gates one day as all the clever Trevors say, well at least you can say we/you tried.
Never having had a SO, I always made sure I put something in the buckets and to be fair the general consensus seems to be that it is a waste of time, well to be fair I've p!ssed more up the wall for a day of throwing and headaches in bed or on the 2.08 race at Crayford in the past so I've never been that good with the old dosh.
Ready to be put right.

£362 divided by 20,000 = 1.81p per person. Anyone care to interpret then message offered up by Bees fans here?

I can't think of one.
Can I phone a friend Chris.......
Brrrrrrr......brrrrrrr........brrrrrrr............ brrrrrrrrrr
(phoned picked up)
"Whoever this is it had better be ****ing important. I'm just on my third bottle of Chateau Latour 1964 which I'm drinking with my wild duck risotto, sprinkled with Beluga caviar and a hint of lobster"
"Bee H....... Chris Tarrant here you know ...Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.... We have abee in the studio and he's on £500,000 having answered instantly and without using any of his lifelines all of his questions so far which have mostly been on quantum physics, the origins of the universe and that sort of stuff. However Bee H, abee is now stuck on this question which will win him £1million" :-
"What message was being sent to the Bees United and BFC boards by the witholding of supporters cash from the BU buckets at the last two home games which incidentally were the two biggest gates of the season. You have thirty seconds Bee H and.........look there's no need to be like that you are on national television........that language is absolutely unnecessary.....either you know the answer or you don't........brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Er I'm afraid that he's hung up on me abee. You are on your own then. So to repeat the question and for £1million. "What message..........

It's probably worth me pointing out that this total was largely as a result of fewer bucket collectors than usual. There were just two supporters collecting at both these games, we would normally have seven or eight.
Now, the reason why our usual team of bucket collectors decided to "wash their hair" is just pure coincidence . . . of course

Did not see even one on my way past Brooks Road or in the 45 minute queue for New Road.
Random thought: How come there's a totally pointless tsunami fund change-raising bottle on the bar at The Griffin but never have I once seen one for the football club that keeps that quiet inn in business?

That's a bit unfair, I'm sure they let BIAS/BU/Beesotted FC use the upstairs room for free.

Fair enough - I don't doubt that they've provided for BIAS/BU/etc and are a useful resource generally. But then, why isn't there a 5 liter bottle out collecting money for BIAS/BU/etc all the time? Don't want to sound like a general whinger, it was just an idea.

Perhaps you'd like to explain to Ralph how BU is a more deserving cause than the Tsumami victims? I am sure he'd be happy to hear your point of view :D
