I seem to have screwed up my Firefox -

What I was trying to do was download the Sage extension (as recommended elsewhere). For some reason I couldn't persuade it to respond to my clicks, so I started looking at other things to see if I was going mad. Fore some crazy reason, I changed the "theme" and now have a theme that doesn't fuc-ing work properly - buttons displayed as text, and drop downs as black on black menus, completely unreadable and I don't know how to undo what I've done.

Please help me!!

This is truly awful. I'm going to have to use IE until someone can help me!

Don't you just go Tools->Themes and choose the Default?

Themes is the 6th options down on the Tools menu BTW :)

When I click on Tools, the drop down menu is just black. Any clue as to whereabouts Themes is on it?

There are 10 Options
4 Downloads
5 Extensions
6 Themes
7 Javascript Console

Does the dialog box for Themes have Extensions as its title?

No - it has "Themes"
Extensions is the menu option above the one you are looking for.

Not sure this is going to help - that box looks largely blank with just three options in the bottom left:

Uninstall, Update, and Use Theme

Looks like you need to select a theme from there - but it's all blank.

Bollocks. New download of Firefox do the trick, do you think?

No - it has "Themes"
Extensions is the menu option above the one you are looking for.
But I don't seem to have it - only two different options for Extensions.

I think it's royally bollocksed.

Have a look in:
C:\Document and Settings\<user name>\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxx.default\extensions

There's file called installed-extensions.
In it I have one entry:
theme,{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}

You may like to (in the following order):
1. edit the file
2. delete the file
3. start another copy of firefox and create a brand-new profile
4. try looking at http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/

Banana

Downloading won''t help - it's your profile that is crap.

try alt-t then t then enter for themes
That confirms that my box headed Extensions, is the Themes dialog box. But it's buggered, so I'll have to try Banana's suggestion.

extensions is above themes on mine too. Only because I have the adblock plugin installed though.

Alt-t t enter should open the themes settings regardless and let you change it though.

1. Didn't work
2. Didn't work
3. Can't do as Firefox stops new windows opening
4. Last resort, I guess
