It's something on the official website that you download, install, and it updates the program/players. I'm playing it with a friend at Uni, he has signed Adu and played him without the patch though. I'm not really sure what the problem could be, sorry!

Owusu on loan from Arsenal and Dean Morgan on loan from Reading have scored bags of goals for me (taking it in turns upfront with Burton). Zak Whitbread on loan from Liverpool is quality in central defence.

I was bought Football Manager 2005 for Christimas but hadn't really spent much time playing it until recently. I get too emotionally involved  so rather than start with Brentford I plucked a number out of the air and counted through the list of team names to find that I would begin with Kidderminster
Their goal for the season was to fight against relegation and I did all the way through, only to get relegated with two games to go. They were awful, couldn't get any loan players, not even from the same division :nono:
Thought I'd stick with them in the Conference but had a bad start and was approached by Wycombe, even they would be better than Kidderminster. In my first season with Wycombe I finished 4th and won the playoffs thanks to Nathan Tyson and Ian Stonebridge's goals and some amazing dribbling trickery from Matty Fox!!. I was also able to get some good loan players such as Zak Whitbread from Liverpool, Dean Marney from Tottenham, Nuno Morais from Chelsea and Darren Potter from Liverpool.
Now getting ready for first season in League One having signed a few players, Dean Morgan from Reading being one of them :sorted:
