Hello Folks,
I hope to take part in The Weekend to Breakthrough Breast Cancer sponsored walk in central London this coming September. During the weekend of 23 - 25 Setptember thousands of women & men will walk some 60 kilometres ( roughly 38 miles to you & me) the aim is to attempt to raise funds & awareness in the hope in finding a cure to this awfully common illness.
One in nine women in the UK suffer with Breast Cancer. Around 1000 will die this year alone. Men too suffer, with around 300 falling victim. I think we all know of somebody, beit a family member, work colleagues or friends, whom at one time have or had suffered from Breast Cancer, therefore I'm appealing to fellow Bees fans to help me raise the needed £1500 to take part in this mamouth event.
I hope to be speaking with Brentford FC to place an ad in there forthcoming matchday programme in hope of getting more people interested and aware. Equally having completed two "Walks to Wycombe" I believe I have what it takes to endure & successfully complete such a task.
