For the last 3/4 years we have taken part in a tournament at Hitchin FC's ground, organised by their Supporters Association.

Last year after a huge amount of rain the tournament was decided by a penalty shoot-out and we won it!

We have been invited back to defend it.

The tournament takes place on Monday 2nd May (Bank Holiday Monday) and I have provisionally entered us in it.

I need to confirm our entry ASAP. I already have a few players but need to grab some more quickly if we are going to enter.

If you are up for it please let me know.

We will play 4 games, each of 25 minutes and I'm sure everyone who goes will get a reasonable amount of football.

It starts about 1pm so we will need to leave London about 11.30am and will probably get back by about 7pm.

Thanks

Chris

Here's the e-mail I got from Hitchin about the tournament

Hi all,

Here's all you need for next Monday's tournament- the rules, the fixtures and directions by rail and road.

The fixtures can also be found on our website - www.htsfc.org

By Road: A1(M) Junction 8 and turn left towards Hitchin and follow for about 3 miles to large roundabout. Take third exit towards Bedford, straight over next roundabout onto one-way system. Passing Waitrose, straight over lights. At next roundabout turn right and the HTSFC is first turning on the left just after the bus stop.
By Rail: Hitchin is 35 mins from London Kings Cross. From the station follow footpath anti-clockwise around B&Q into Nightingale Road. Walk down Nightingale Road to Orchard & Anvil and continue on same road up until next roundabout (church). Straight on to next roundabout and turn right up road running between council offices and Victoria pub. Football Ground 300 yards up on the left hand side opposite the large green just past the swimming centre and school.
Ample parking available at the ground.
There are refreshments, bar open all day, dressing room with showers and toilet facilities available. Teams enterting are asked to bring their own warm up balls and a change of shirts just in case. Entry fees required prior to first match if not already paid.
