As far as I can see we can still draw any of Wednesday, Tranmere, Hatrlepool or Bournemouth, with either leg away (except we couldn't be away at Bournemouth second leg, I think?).
Anyone up for researching any of the possible train journeys required!

Any away leg is unlikely to lead to succesfull train travel on the same day  No point looking into it until the dates are announced... now Cardiff on May 29th on the other hand...... :fishing:

Yeah, looks like you're right - last train back from Sheffield on Monday 16th is 21:14 for instance.

We could not be at home to Tranmere in the second leg either

Have the League actually said which matches will be played when? I know the dates have been announced but do we know whether the first set are 3v6 or 4v5? and if the 12th and 16th are paired etc.
1st Legs
Thursday 12th May - kick-off 7.45 pm
Friday 13th May - kick-off 7.45 pm
2nd Legs
Monday 16th May - kick-off 7.45 pm
Tuesday 17th May - kick-off 7.45 pm

I don't think we do. Football League site says "the exact fixture dates for the semi-finals will not be confirmed until the participating clubs are known".

I'm coming round to the idea of a Friday night out in Newcastle or Sheffield/Leeds :sorted:

Surely they must be paired, would not be fair to play 13th and 16th

Keep dreaming - this is the League controlled by Murdoch remember :D
Anyway, unfair for whom? BOTH teams would be subject to the same schedule.

and just what was wrong with 2 games on saturday and 2 on tuesday night? This is shit because it ****s the fans over and will probably reduce gates.

bollox,I believed it was 1st leg 14th and 2nd leg 17th / 18th. As you have said, getting from Brentford to Sheffield / Tranmere / Hartlepool for night game mid week really shits on the fans.

And since when have the fans mattered to TV/League/or anyone else? If they did then all of the play-off matches would be played at weekends.
Except for the final of course - will hopefully be celebrating too much afterwards to worry about getting home or even what day it is :alcoholic

the only that's gonna happen is if we finish 4th tho, which looks unlikely with martin saying he'll play a weakened team AND sheff wed-bristol now being a nothing match...
I think it looks like it'll either be Tranmere or Weds to start with.

I have got back from Bournemouth on a Tuesday night in the past. But any of the other three teams would be impossible I'd have thought.
