Beesotted, along with fellow Brentford team, Hey Jude, are taking part in the second West London Cup. A depleted Beesotted came third last year in the same tournament, after being knocked out on penalties by a strong Crystal Palace team.

With a little bit of luck, hopefully either ourselves or Hey Jude can uphold the good name of Brentford.

Hey Jude and Beesotted have been drawn in the same group as each other, alongside Watford and Crystal Palace. In the other group, Sports Interactive, Fulham, QPR and Welling have been drawn together which makes for a very tough group too.

Just briefly, but Beesotted came top of our group, beating Crystal Palace 1-0, Hey Jude 1-0, and Watford 3-0. However, injuries took their toll as we bowed out in the semis to QPR, losing 2-0.

The tournament was won by Crystal Palace.

Overall, 3 wins out of 4, and keeping 3 clean sheets was a good effort from a Beesotted team that gave their all, but just couldn't muster up enough for the knockout stages.

Well done to Hey Jude who also did very well, having brought a small squad that battled hard against the odds.
