Is Grays Athletic's hero by saving a sudden death penalty that won them the FA Trophy... :fishing:

No surprise. Give him credit where it's due.

He managed to have a 12 year Football League career by making the most of his abilities and must have played around 300 games.

He IS an excellent shot stopper.

Good luck to him - he has won something this season - we didn't !!

His penalty technique was exactly the same as Stuart Nelsons, and it paid off 2 times (almost 3). A great performance, and nice to see and old boy doing well.

Isn't that Shane Westlet you're thinking of and not Graham or am I not paying attention again.

Bayes signing suggests that Alan Julian must be on his way out.

Suspect Julian will get a transfer to a League club - maybe Gillingham?

A backward step imho but I think Bayes must live up this way - on basis that an Ashley Bayes also turns out for Stevenage Cricket Club!

Not as a wicket keeper I hope.

I went to see Stevenage Borough play Crawley this afternoon, a few Ex-Bees on display including Calum Willock (awful game!), Isaiah Rankin and Thomas Pinault.

Ashley Bayes didn't play for Stevenage, he was dropped to the subs bench in favour of Chris Day after conceding 13 goals in the opening 4 games and getting some 'constructive' criticism from manager Graham Westley. The Stevenage fans didn't seem impressed either and gave Bayes a fair bit of 'advice' from the terraces. I guess his first few games haven't been too good?

Some things never change!!
