OK, so I'm cheating here - this isn't really Brentford related, but is kind of "Away Travel".

I'm going to Wembley Stadium on Friday to see Oasis, and I'm looking for some travel guidance. Having heard the horror stories of getting away from the Stadium is it easier to get the tube out of there (and back to Ealing), or should I risk it and drive (bearing in mind my starting point will be Oxford)?

Any help gratefully accepted.

Drive to Harrow, or somewhere else on the Met line and get the tube from there. Don't even think about driving all the way. There's nowhere to park other than the official carparks which will take you hours to get out of - unless you fancy a 30 minute walk from/to the car.

Don't get the tube to Ealing as it's not on the right tube line. Preston Road is too close to Wembley - try Northwick Park, Harrow (tricky to find somewhere to park) or further out.

And don't forget - don't even think about driving the whole way.

Is there a car park at Harrow On The Hill (seeing as there's a "proper" station there)?

Getting there early afternoon will be fine, so that could be one of the better options.

Thanks for the help so far.

Only shoppers' car parks which close at about 6.30 ish. Which is why Northwick Park might be better. It's just residential street parking round there.
